Rumors circulate that Lincoln Wheat Penny valued thousands is still in circulation.

The United States Mint honored the nation's valiant Civil War leader in 1909 by creating the Lincoln Wheat Penny.

Sculptor Victor David Brenner painstakingly created it, and at the time, it was unique since it was the first coin in the country's history to depict a historical figure.

When copper became scarce during World War II, producers began using steel to make cents, which caused the coin's popularity to decline.

Nonetheless, some believe that a very rare edition of the Lincoln coin, one of the most precious in the nation's history, was produced in 1943 using copper blanks from 1942.

According to reports, the estimated value of one of those 1943 coins is an astounding $195 million.

On their hunt list for rare coin collections, aficionados can add a plethora of additional rare coins.
