Most Valuable American Dimes in Circulation

Believe it or not, there are still some seriously valuable dimes floating around out there—you just have to know what to look for.

One of the most sought-after is the 1965 Roosevelt dime struck on a silver planchet

Most 1965 dimes were supposed to be clad, but a few were accidentally made of silver, and they’re worth hundreds to thousands!

Another gem is the 1982 No-P Roosevelt dime, a rare error where the Philadelphia Mint forgot to stamp the mint mark.

High-grade examples are extremely valuable. And don’t forget about pre-1965 silver dimes—any Roosevelt, Mercury, or even late Barber dimes made before 1965 are 90% silver and worth way more than face value, no matter the condition

If you get lucky and find one with minimal wear or special characteristics (like full bands), you could be holding a real treasure.

So, next time you're handed change, check those dimes carefully—you might just have a mini gold mine hiding in your pocket!
