Flowing Hair Silver Dollar 1794 The 1794 Flowing Hair Silver Dollar was the first silver dollar created by the US Mint, establishing American numismatic history. Since only 1,758 coins were produced, experts estimate that 135 to 150 remain, mostly in private collections.
