Simone Biles Accepts TIME100 Impact Award at 2025 TIME100 Gala

On April 24, Simone Biles was honored with a TIME100 Impact Award at a ceremony in New York City for her global influence and impact on the world of gymnastics.

Actor Kristen Bell, who presented the award to Biles, joked about being excited to “tower over” someone for once while acknowledging Biles' greatness in the gymnastics world.

Kristen Bell highlighted Biles’ ongoing efforts to use her achievements to uplift others, emphasizing that Biles doesn't rest on her past success.

Biles shared her approach to gymnastics, saying she balanced intense training with humor and fun, which helped her achieve success without compromising her authenticity.

After withdrawing from the Tokyo 2020 Olympics to focus on mental health, Biles made a historic comeback at the 2024 Paris Olympics, winning four medals, including three golds.

Fellow gymnast Aly Raisman referred to Biles as “deeply human and undeniably superhuman,” humorously noting that Biles’ dominance made the rest of her teammates feel like they were competing for second place.

At the gala, Biles emphasized that one doesn’t need medals or an Olympic stage to make a difference, just the courage to show up and remain true to oneself.
